Ancient and lofty trees green with sprinkles of snow,
in a deep creek with shallow water and rocks beneath.
Behold that rope, a thousand feet long touching the skies in a row.
The moment was ours in epic adventure of defiance of death.
Joshua with his hands gripped tight on the rope in harness.
My hands on the rope next to him ready to fly.
Our hearts racing, our minds in myriad thoughts in readiness.
Ready to see the tips of trees as we fly in the skies.
Then a rush a maddening rush into the heavens,
as we glide and ride the skies at 100 miles per hour.
A flash, a moment, skies and the tips of trees our haven.
Cool wind brushing us in an embrace in our flight on that hot wire.
As we land on the deck our mind and hearts are still.
Son and father embrace in celebration of conquest of nature.
Tears of laughter in that race in the heavens, smiling at our thrill.
Eager for more adventures to capture us in rapture.
